USA: A passenger plane made an emergency landing at Indianapolis International Airport this morning after the pilot reported a burning smell in the cockpit.

American Eagle 5061, from Louisville to Chicago, landed at the airport at 11:25 a.m. with 39 passengers aboard, airport spokeswoman Susan Sullivan said.

At 11:09 a.m., the pilot had smelled something burning in the cockpit when he was 10 miles from Indianapolis. He described it as “wiring or electronics,” Sullivan said. He said there was no smoke in the cockpit.

No injuries were immediately reported.
